[Graffito: Italian, diminutive of graffio, a scratching, scribble, probably from graffiare, to scratch, scribble, probably from Vulgar Latin *graphiāre, to write with a stylus, from Latin graphium, stylus, from Greek grapheion, graphion, from graphein, to write.]
The What
Graffiti: there's a lot of it out there. Mostly it's ugly and mindless. But sometimes it amuses. Sometimes it inspires. Sometimes it intrigues.
I take photos of graffiti I like, and salute the anonymous philosophers, artists and clowns who make concrete interesting. Thank you for being bothered.
Please excuse wobbly photography. It's windy out there, ok?
